More protests in Peru
Development: On 30 June port workers in Callao went on strike to protest the concession contract for the Northern Terminal Port of Callao, near Lima. Other port workers have followed suit in solidarity, with some 1,500 workers walking out in total. Separately, protests to demand higher royalties from mining companies began in Puno.
