CHILE: Piñera meets the students
The three months of protests about the government’s education reform plans have prompted copycat protests in Brazil and Colombia. The Chilean protests show little sign of subsiding. On 3 September, President Sebastián Piñera met student leaders for four hours, but failed to reach an agreement.
