EL SALVADOR: Budget approved
On 23 November congress approved the budget for 2012. It set the budget at US$4.2bn, 9.2% up on the 2011 budget if the cost of paying off US$653m in bonds is discounted. Almost a quarter of the 2012 budget (US$926m) will go on capital projects.
