GUATEMALA: Congress approves US$7.6bn budget
The outgoing congress approved a budget of Q$59.5bn (US$7.6bn) for 2012. The new president, Otto Pérez Molina, takes office on 14 January 2012.he has said that he wants to prevent NGO money being used to build infrastructure.
