Ecuador - deputies fail to overturn Correa’s veto
Development: On 10 January six dissident congressional members of President Rafael Correa’s ruling Alianza País (AP) united with the opposition but failed to overturn a presidential veto on key electoral reforms (grouped under the so-called Democratic Code).
