Colombia intends to ship 50% more natural gas to its next-door neighbour, Venezuela, this year, Energy Minister Mauricio Cárdenas announced in Caracas on 18 May. Cárdenas was in the Venezuelan capital with his regional counterparts for the third meeting of the South American Energy Council, one of the talkshops set up under the new Union of South American Nations (Unasur).
