Defence ministry reinforces Plan Centinela
Development: On 23 August Venezuela’s defence minister, Henry Rangel Silva, said that 8,000 army officers would be deployed across the 29 municipalities of the western state of Táchira, bordering Colombia, in order to reinforce border security.
