TOURISM: Uruguay rolls out the welcome mat
The tourism and sports minister, Lilian Kechichián, in December announced a new tourism promotion programme under which Uruguay will offer foreign visitors a 10.5% value added tax (VAT) rebate on debit and credit card purchases.
