Venezuela’s Maduro proposes decree powers to tackle corruption
Development: On 13 August President Nicolás Maduro said he would shortly declare a national emergency and request special decree powers allowing him to speed through legal reforms and institutional/constitutional changes in order to tackle corruption “at its roots”.
