FOREIGN RELATIONS | Senate gives the nod to Venezuela. On 10 December Paraguay’s senate approved by 29 votes to 10 Venezuela’s full adhesion to the Southern Common Market (Mercosur). The adhesion protocol, sent down by President Horacio Cartes, will now go to the congress, where it is also expected to pass.
