PARAGUAY: Top police involved in new scandal
President Nicanor Duarte's plans to purge and modernise Paraguay's national police force may prove a greater challenge than anticipated. A prosecutor has accused 20 members of the force, including several high-ranking commissioners, of trying to involve him in a plan to steal part of the booty from a bank robbery.
