NICARAGUA: Municipal elections likely this year
It looks as if the municipal elections which the Sandinistas had wanted to postpone will go ahead this year as planned, in November. The Partido Liberal Constitucionalista (PLC) has announced that it will resist any new attempt at postponing them, and the necessary funding has been appropriated in this year's budget.
