St Lucia’s United Workers’ Party (UWP) returned to power under new prime minister Allen Chastanet at the 6 June general election with a promise to mend fences with the United States, but recent remarks by Chastanet suggest that he harbours a certain amount of animosity towards the US that may not be helpful in this cause.
