GUATEMALA | Semi-submersibles. On 13 October deputy minister for anti-drugs efforts Oscar Dávila Mejicanos announced that a semi-submersible had been seized in Ixtapa municipality, Escuintla department, by the general department of anti-drugs information and analysis (Subdirección General de Análisis e Información Antinarcótica, SGAIA). Dávila said that the vessel had similar characteristics to a submarine and had the capacity to transport up to 2,000 kilos of drugs.
