PARAGUAY: Plot to kill Duarte: claim doubted
Asunción was in a flap during the first half of last week as a result of reports about a plot to assassinate President Nicanor Duarte, which the government confirmed late and sketchily. Opposition politicians have stated unequivocally that they do not believe the story.
