The US has been pressing Nicaragua to destroy its stocks of surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) on the grounds that they could end up in the hands of terrorists — the implication being that Nicaraguan security is too lax to be trusted. Days ago a rocket launcher was discovered in Colonia Rancho Escondido, a district on the eastern side of Tijuana. This one was US-made, and in the hands of drug traffickers.
