CHILE | Piñera backs four day working week. Chile’s President Sebastián Piñera signed a labour reform bill on 2 May that will allow workers an improved, more flexible work-life balance. According to a government press release, the initiative included in the bill, which has now been sent to congress for debate, will implement several changes to the structure of the working day, most notably the individual’s right to choose how to distribute working hours throughout the week.
