COSTA RICA | New maritime route to China. Shipping vessel ‘Xin Wei Hai’ belonging to the state-owned China Ocean Shipping Company (Cosco) will complete its 22-day journey from the Moín Container Terminal (MCT) in Limón province, Costa Rica, to Shanghai, China, this week. The vessel is the first to use the new commercial maritime service which aims to increase productivity and reduce transit time from 34-40 days to approximately 22 days, improving the competitiveness of fresh Costa Rican products.
