Speculation about Pemex takeover of Zama offshore oilfield
With private-sector oil firms coming under continued pressure to lift output, there has been speculation that the state-owned oil firm Pemex may be seeking to take over production in an offshore field awarded to a US firm, Talos Energy, as well as its partners – a UK firm, Premier Oil, as well as a Mexican firm, Sierra Oil and Gas.
