Several thousand people took part in rival demonstrations in different parts of Santiago on 15 February. One group of protesters in the capital city’s most affluent neighbourhood of Las Condes demonstrated in favour of retaining Chile’s current constitution ahead of a plebiscite on the issue on 26 April this year.
