EL SALVADOR: Opposition forces electoral rule change
With only 16 days to go to the election, the Salvadorean congress rushed through an amendment to the electoral legislation designed to neutralise the advantage enjoyed by the ruling Alianza Republicana Nacionalista (Arena) in the supreme electoral tribunal, TSE. All recent opinion polls point to a comfortable victory on 21 March for Arena candidate Elías Antonio
