MEXICO-US | Ban on assault rifles. US congressman Eliot Engel (Democrat, New York), chairman of the House Western Hemisphere Subcommittee, has submitted a letter, endorsed by 53 legislators asking President Barack Obama to 'return to enforcement of the law banning imports of imported assault weapons, which was previously enforced during the administrations of presidents George H W Bush and Bill Clinton'.
