Weekly Report - 16 March 2004

One thing is not yet clear about the corruption scandals enveloping the government of Mexico city (WR-04-10): did it go as far up as the mayor, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, still the poll's favourite for next President? What does seem certain is that the ruling Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) was, if not complicit in, at least aware of the incriminating videos that brought these cases to the attention of the public.
