Fallout from the case of the Spiniak paedophile-ring scandal has claimed its first two political casualties — but not among those who had been implicated by a colleague (WR-04-10). The leaders of the two main opposition parties, Pablo Longueira of the Unión Demócrata Independiente (UDI) and Sebastián Piñera of Renovación Nacional (RN), resigned their posts within hours of each other.
