DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | Inflation soaring. President Luis Abinader has urged the Dominican public to make “a national effort” to confront inflation after it hit double figures in May. Abinader held a meeting in the presidential palace on 21 June with cabinet ministers and representatives of the public and private sectors to discuss ways in which to keep prices down.
