Argentina's Pluspetrol announced on 21 November 2009 that it would spend US$600m over the next four years to develop its natural gas projects in Peru. Pluspetrol is a key member of the consortium that controls the massive Camisea gas field which, Pluspetrol claims, has 14.1 trillion feet (399bn cubic metres) of proven reserves.
