REGION: A small step towards resolution of Mercosur stalemate?
Argentina and Brazil, the two economic heavyweights in the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) regional trade bloc, have agreed to reduce the bloc’s high common external tariff (CET). Concessions were made on both sides in order to reach this agreement.
