MEXICO | Mexico sees record remittances in 2021. On 1 February, Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) released new figures which showed remittances to Mexico totalled US$51.59bn in 2021, up 27.1% compared to the previous year and a record high for the country. In December 2021, remittances totalled US$4.65bn, an increase on the US$3.54bn received in the same month of 2020.
