PARAGUAY: Historic drought clouds the economic outlook
As Paraguay suffers from a record drought, this year’s harvest is likely to be “the worst since the beginning of large-scale agricultural production”, the country’s agriculture & livestock minister, Santiago Moisés Bertoni, recently warned. The Paraguayan government is offering a support package for farmers suffering from the drought’s impact.
