ECUADOR | Referendum on investment bill. President Guillermo Lasso revealed on 12 April that his government will shortly begin the process of organising a national referendum for September or October this year on various issues, including a series of constitutional reforms and, crucially, his government’s investment bill, which was recently shot down by the opposition-controlled national assembly [WR-22-12].
