President Alberto Fernández became the first Argentine president ever to be invited to participate in a G-7 summit this week. A seat at the high table of global diplomacy provided a brief distraction for Fernández from the political divisions within his ruling left-of-centre Frente de Todos (FdT) coalition and the economic challenges confronting his administration.
