VENEZUELA | Maduro reaches out to investors. President Nicolás Maduro urged foreign investors, particularly from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Colombia, to come to Venezuela to develop the land and ramp up food production for export. “We are looking to the horizon: Venezuela as food producer and exporter,” Maduro said during a visit to an estate owned by a Brazilian businessman in the eastern state of Monagas on 31 August.
