ARGENTINA | IMF approves review. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed the second review of Argentina’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement on 19 September. Luis Cubeddu, the IMF deputy director of the Western Hemisphere department and mission chief for Argentina, said that “most of the revised quantitative program targets” had been met with the exception of international reserves, which he said were being rebuilt “following decisive policy steps to correct earlier setbacks and rebuild credibility”.
