MEXICO | Remittances up. On 1 November, Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) released new figures showing remittances to Mexico reached US$5.03bn in September 2022, an annual increase of 14.1% and up 4.2% in monthly terms. Remittances are on track to exceed the record US$51.59bn sent to the country in 2021, with US$42.97bn sent between January and September 2022, 15% more than the same period in 2021.
