MEXICO | Central bank raises growth forecast. In its latest quarterly report (July-September), published on 30 November, Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) raised its growth forecast to 3% in 2022 and 1.8% in 2023, up from 2.2% and 1.6% respectively in its previous forecast. Banxico said the 2022 revision corresponded mainly to the dynamism shown by the national economy, which was evident in higher-than-expected growth in the third quarter. This stood at 0.9% compared to the previous three-month period, and at 4.3% year-on-year.
