Hydrogen in Latin America and the Caribbean

Abundant natural gas has enabled Trinidad and Tobago to become not only a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter, but also the largest hydrogen producer in Latin America, accounting for roughly 44% of the regional total, with production of 1.8m tonnes of H2 in 2019, and 50% of this being pure hydrogen.
