ARGENTINA/REGION: Tackling the rise in cybercrime
Law enforcement and judicial authorities from Argentina, Uruguay and Peru met in Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo, from 14-18 August to attend a regional conference on measures to tackle cybercrime. Concerns over criminal hacking organisations have been especially acute in Argentina, where the public health insurance agency (PAMI) was the victim of a cyberattack on 2 August.
