BRAZIL | Tax reform bill returns to lower chamber. The senate approved a major government-backed tax reform bill (PEC 45/2019) on 8 November, which the lower chamber of congress had approved in July. Since the bill entails a constitutional amendment, it required two rounds of voting, and senators approved the bill by a vote count of 53-24 in both rounds.
