THE ANDEAN HOTSPOT: Turmoil likely throughout the subregion
An area specifically focused in the IAD's forecasting exercise for 2004 is the situation in the Andean countries. Michael Shifter, vice-president for policy at the IAD, says that it is hard to be sanguine about the outlook for this subregion. His outlook:
