BOLIVIA: Roadblocks cleared but challenges remain
President Luis Arce promulgated a law on 6 February establishing a timeframe for the holding of overdue judicial elections, drawing a close to 16 days of protests. Whilst the law may focus minds in congress as the electoral deadline draws nearer, legislators currently look no closer to resolving their differences which have for over a year prevented an agreement on a shortlist of candidates.
