BRAZIL: Central bank slows cycle of rate cuts

On 8 May the monetary policy committee (Copom) of Brazil’s central bank (BCB) lowered the country’s benchmark interest rate (Selic) from 10.75% to 10.50%, slowing the pace of rate cuts.
