ARGENTINA: Faint light at the end of a long tunnel

After nearly six months as president of Argentina, the radical libertarian Javier Milei has scored a number of advances in fixing the country’s battered finances and eliminating decades-old distortions in the economy. But he has also deepened the stranglehold on many Argentine consumers and businesses, who are desperately waiting for signs that the economy is hitting bottom and poised for recovery.
