CUBA: Bush and Kerry compete for Cuban vote

US President George Bush and Democrat challenger John Kerry appear to be vying with one another for the prize of adopting the toughest line on Cuba. Kerry stepped up his campaign to lure Cuban Republican voters into his camp on 6 October by accusing the Bush administration of going soft on the Cuban president, Fidel Castro.
