*Brazil’s national council of coffee exporters (Cecafé) has released figures for November, which showed an export volume of 4.66m sacks of coffee (one sack = 60 kg). This is down from the 4.93m sacks exported in October but up from 4.42m sacks in November last year. The total export figure for January-November 2024 came to 46.4m sacks, up 32.2% from the same months in 2023. According to a Cecafé press release, even without the export figures for December, the tally for 2024 so far has already surpassed the annual record set in 2020, when 44.7m sacks were exported. In terms of export destinations, the US was the top buyer of Brazilian coffee from January-November, importing a total of 7.42m sacks. Ranking in second was Germany, importing 7.23m sacks during this period, followed by Belgium, registering 4.07m sacks.
