CUBA: North Korean delegation visits

The vice-president of North Korea's national assembly, Yang Hyong Sop, paid a visit to Havana at the end of September, before heading on to Caracas. Yang met both President Fidel Castro and vice-president/defence minister Raúl Castro during a four-day visit to mark the 45th anniversary of the start of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The visit follows that of Choi Su Hon, North Korea's deputy minister of foreign affairs in June 2004. Fidel Castro last travelled to North Korea in March 1986.
