Government accuses FMLN of being in league with mara gangs
President Tony Saca is making a direct appeal to Salvadoreans to vote for
the ruling Alianza Republicana Nacionalista (Arena) in the legislative elections
on 12 March to remove his government's dependence on the main opposition Frente
Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN), which Saca is accusing of
thwarting his plans for El Salvador.
