CUBA: Crossing swords with the US Interests Section

The new head of the US Interests Section in Havana (Sina), Michael Parmley, shows every sign of living up to his controversial predecessor, James Cason. While Cason was famous for his provocative statements, such as erecting a Christmas tree outside Sina complete with a sign reading "75" - a reference to the 75 dissidents that were rounded up and imprisoned in Cuba in 2003 - Parmley has launched a propaganda war that seems to have irked the Cuban government even more.
