TRINIDAD & TOBAGO: More opposition woes

For all the government's unpopularity, as public insecurity continues to increase, the opposition United National Congress (UNC) party remains in disarray. The main cause appears to be the power split between "opposition leader" Basdeo Panday and "political leader" Winston Dookeran. Panday, a former PM, continues to call the shots even while fighting off a longstanding corruption case. Many UNC members appear unhappy with the situation.
