MEXICO | Vehicle exports drop in Q1. On 7 April Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) reported that light vehicle exports fell by 6.04% in the first quarter of 2025, compared to the same period of the previous year. According to Inegi, 775,866 light vehicles were exported in Q1 2025, down from 825,707 in Q1 2024. However, in March alone, 296,964 light vehicles were exported, up 3.83% year-on-year. Inegi noted that the US remained the largest export market for Mexican vehicles in the first quarter, with 643,894 light vehicles exported to the country over the period, 83.0% of the total.
