On 12 March the coordinator for the centrist opposition Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) in the Mexico City (CDMX) chamber of deputies, Tania Larios, presented an initiative to include bullying in the state penal code. Larios was addressing an issue that has increased in severity in recent years and which was recently thrust into the spotlight due to a shocking incident that took place in early February.
